Adenta Presby YPG donates to nectar foundation
The Adenta Presbyterian Young People’s Guild (YPG), has donated items worth some thousands of Ghana cedis to the Nectar Foundation, an orphanage home at new Nuaso, Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region.
The donation comprising assorted food items included cooking oils, bags of rice, sugar, milo, milk, bread, and biscuit.
The rest are used cloths, toiletries, soap, bags of sachet water replica uhren panerai and cash amount of GH500.00.
President of the Adenta Presbyterian Young People’s Guild, Prince Tenkorang in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com revealed that the donation is a departure from their usual excursion and other merry making activities during their annual festivals. According to him, the group decided to touch the lives of deprived persons especially those at the orphanage.
He indicated that though a number of names came up, the group settled on the Nectar Foundation after careful consideration.
He said they are grateful to the Alighty God for another successful year in doing His work and prayed for strength and unity for the group.
The Organizer of the Young People’s Guild, Sam Afful on his part said making an impact in the lives of the less privilege is part of the responsibility of the church, adding that the donation will help in the upkeep of these children so that they can also be given hope for a brighter future.
The Director of the Orphanage, Rev Fred Anyasor-Nartey commended the youth group for the donation and assured that the items will be used to the good of the children. “These items will go a long way to put smiles on the faces of these children”, he added.
Mr. Anyasor-Nartey also appealed to them to use their individual contacts to help raise more assistants for the orphanage so that the future of these children can be secured.
