Yokama women of distinction
Cash awards of 1,000 Ghana Cedis each to two (2) young Krobo Women of Distinction. Awards are donated by Nene Kwesi Detse I, Manoyam Matse.
Young women will be recognized at the annual Ngmayem Festival in Odumase-Krobo in October 2015.
Young women should be between 18 and 35 years old and be successfully involved in either business, academics (high school or university level), science, arts and culture or community development.
They should be recognized as brilliant for their achievements and exceptional in their area. There will be one awardee from Upper Manya Krobo and one from Lower Manya Krobo.
Applicants will be selected from the following areas:
Arts and Culture
NGO Community work
Each applicant must submit:
1. A typed, one-page letter detailing their qualifications and explaining why they should be selected as
a Yokama Young Woman of Distinction.
2. All supporting documents (academic record, professional qualifications, etc).
3. One Letter of Reference from a reputable source (Church, Mosque, school head teacher, business partner, NGO Director, etc). The letter should have contact name and phone number for follow up.
Final applicants will be interviewed by the Ngmayem Planning Committee. Successful applicants will be reviewed and approved by Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya Krobo and Nene Kwesi Detse I, Manoyam Matse.
